Award-winning conductor and pianist, Alden Gatt is a Kapellmeister at Frankfurt Opera, where he has conducted several premieres and revivals. In 2026, he conducts Verdi’s Macbeth, Mozart’s Cosi Fan Tutte, and Humperdinck’s Hänsel und Gretel. In 2025, his work was recognized by the Solti Foundation with a Career Assistance Award.

As a répétiteur, Mr. Gatt worked at many prestigious opera houses, including the Berlin State Opera, San Francisco Opera, and The Dallas Opera, where he assisted conductors including Daniel Barenboim, Sir Simon Rattle, Simone Young, and Emmanuel Villaume. The winner of the 2015 Marilyn Horne Song Competition, Alden Gatt has also appeared as a collaborative pianist with many well-known artists, including Nina Stemme, Isabel Leonard, and Wallis Giunta. In 2026, he appeared with Marielle Murphy at the Carmel Music Society concert series.

Mr. Gatt is an avid language learner - fluent in German and conversational in French, Italian, and Mandarin Chinese, he is currently studying Russian. He earned a Bachelor of Music in Solo Piano from the Eastman School of Music.
